Project objective:
The overall aim of DaHar is to contribute to the better integration of inland navigation within the transport logistical chain by focusing on the multi-modal and logistical development of ports and port areas in small and medium-sized South East European cities along the Danube.

Project description:
The DaHar partnership represents small and medium sized Danube cities with ports and cities of international importance. The economic development and participation in the economic circulation of these cities could be enhanced through the optimal utilisation of port development in the frame of enhancing waterway cargo transport on the Danube in a transnational context. To this end, DaHar partners wish to utilise the logistical and multi-modal development capacities of their ports and port areas, develop their ports in a harmonised manner. This way, small and medium sized cities and ports will find their position in the development of waterway cargo transport.

Role of Kios:
Kios s.r.o. succeeded in the tender which was published in Public procurement journal by Public Ports Plc. and the main role is support all their activities during the project lifetime in following work packages:

  • WP1 Management of the project
  • WP2 Communication
  • WP3 Exploit the development and cooperation potentials of participating ports through transfer of knowledge
  • WP 4 Develop an integrated strategy for functional specialisation in the Danube logistic chain
  • WP 5 Ensure stakeholder support and enhance the consensus building process
