COMPRIS

COMPRIS was a pan-European project focusing at the development and implementation of River Information Services (RIS) on the European waterways. COMPRIS dealt with the pan-European standardisation and harmonisation of River Information Services (RIS), which is a pre-requisite for full installation of RIS on all navigable waterways.

KIOS participated in following sub-work packages and cooperated and developed following software solutions:

• Traffic management focusing on the management and statistics of vessels passing the locks.
• Value added services from RIS focusing on the logistic needs to obtain data relevant for logistics users by retrieval software and making the link to the FP5 project 'ALSO Danube' by creating the interface towards the CSL.DB (Common Source Logistics Database).
